Weaving An Artist Series Framed
This is my mother's story told in five scenes. In some ways she was typical of many women of her generation, those born in the first quarter of the 20th century. She was ambitious to leave the farm for the city. She focused her energy on raising three children then bravely entered the world of work with few skills. Less typical, though, was her life-long dream to be an artist. This warp held fast and she spent her last decade painting in the Chinese and Japanese style she loved.
